Over the last two decades, economic liberalization has failed to address the crisis of poverty. Skewed policies that favour corporate firms and elite social groups/upper castes have worsened inequality, making it even harder for the Dalit & Tribal to improve their lives. Inside Jharkhand has been addressing it at various levels: by participating in state-wide movements against projects that displace the poor; by fighting to secure local rights to land, water and forests; and by working through panchayats to implement public works and employment programmes. Inside Jharkhand is also working to broaden the debate about poverty and development by enabling the Dalit & Tribal to put forth their perspectives in forums from which they have so far been excluded.
Cluster Facilitation Project (CFP)CFP is an initiative project for backward areas in the country under Mahatama Gandhi NREGA with a vision of addressing the poverty in the backward areas with a multi- pronged strategy of leveraging the synergies of different flagship programmes of the Central / State Governments in convergence with MGNREGA through better coordination , planning and it’s implementation. Inside Jharkhand is running this CFP project in four different blocks name Ormanjhi, Palkot, Gurabanda and Bhandra of Ranchi and ensures that the beenfit of the scheme reaches Dalit & Tribals.
